Directed to the Agent to the French Army at Newport for 1,830 Livres "in a Bill of Exchange on Paris," and signed by Wadsworth. Later in this same year, the French Army would march south to Virginia to seal the American victory in the Revolutionary War at the Battle of Yorktown.
