Typed letter dated January, 1929, to a woman whose son was apparently afflicted with polio. Roosevelt makes some recommendations regarding consultation at the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation, a center established by FDR for the treatment of polio in 1927. He was himself stricken by polio at the age of 39, and left a paraplegic. He later went on to become governor of New York and the longest serving President of the United States. Signed "Franklin D.
